INDEX
Orga have a highly hierarchical society based on strenght and skill. Orga were in the islands well before exiles started to arrive. Well before the Orga came, the islands were the home of the Winged Centaurs, which made many structures and villages still found today. The Orga and the Centaurs waged a terrible war for supremacy over the lands. The Centaurs were stronger and were winning until the Orga used a terrible artifact that wiped the entire Winged Centaur population. All Winged Centaurs were killed, all except one, Falinea, which was away at the time of the tragedy. Falinea still lives today and can be seen sometimes while she is out hunting Orga.
There are numerous types of orga, but aside from a couple of exceptions, there are only five body types. I call these body types 'wimp,' 'lank,' 'small,' 'big,' and 'huge,' although this is a descriptive of the look of the body type, not a descriptive of the orga's relative strength. There are only one exception to this categorisation: Bartok. Bartok is a unique individual and you will know who killed you if you encounter him. He has not been seen in a very long time.

In addition to body types, there are colors and garments that help identify an orga. Not counting shades, there are four basic colors which also gives an indication of strength. In progressing order of strength, the colors are: green, brown, purple, and red. There are also white and blue-white orga, but I am unsure where they fit in the strength progression. Garments are actually limited to the presence or absence of a sash across the right shoulder. This sash is the mark of the spellcasters of the Orga society. Only Berserkers (not to be confused with Berserks) have a sash and do not have spellcasting abilities. Some people think that they lost that ability because of their separation from the main Orga colonies (berserkers are found on Fire Island [FI]). The only other exception is that Wimps are spellcasters and do not wear a sash. It is beleived that they are outcasts of the Orga society and lost the right to wear the sash. Most Orga wear a brown sash, but some have a red one. As with skin colors, a red sash indicates stronger Orga. One orga, the magician, seems to have a one-suspender type pair of pants instead of a sash (?).
Even with this caracterisation by body type and color, some orga are undistinguishable from others, except by identifying methods (bumping into one with a kerchief, candy, gingerbread mystic or towel for example).
About the spellcasters bolts and fire: only bolts can damage fallens. Orga flames have no effect on exiles who are already dead or are too weak to cause significant change. Chain lightning from hemlocks and Dreadlocks do not bounce to fallens. Dreadlock lightning bounces about 1 and a half exile lengths, Hemlock lightning bounces about 1 exile length. The damage radius for a Zealot flame, though it appears large, is only one exile.
| Bestiary symbols legend | |
| Symbol | Meaning |
| The sword represents the amount of accuracy (Atkus) required to hit the creature in a reliable manner. | |
| The shield represent the defense (Detha plus Balthus at full balance) required to brick the creature. | |
| The cross represent the amount of damage (histia) dealt by the creature (on average). | |
| Note: All these numbers are approximative and vary for individual creatures and for the race, weapon, etc. of exiles. They are given only as a general measure of the relative strength of each creature and should not be taken as hard numbers. (Note that damage may list physical hits damage [h], flames [f] or bolt [b] damage). | |
There are only two types of Wimps, and they are very rarely encountered. They seem to be outcasts of Orga society and, when seen in invasions, they usually stay apart from the other Orga. Dissents were probably Shaman, and Fearless were probably Warlocks before being outcast.
Despite the body-type identifier (wimps) they are tough and dangerous. Fearless, in particular, are extremely powerful. They are slow and will use their lighning while advancing on their enemies and then pound them with their fists. Dissent are cowardly and will run away if given a chance. If they have to fight though, they do so with great strength.

Many of the big (red) orga look exactly the same. That is why people yell "BRO" (for Big Red Orga) when they encounter one. There is no easy way to know which one you have encountered until you use one of the technics described above (kerchiefs, etc.), and their fighting skills vary a lot, so they must be dealt with quickly. People yelled "BRO" so that everyone knows and work to deal with it (often by kuzdhuing it until it can be dealt with).

| Blue | grey | Orga Magician | 200 | Appears in Orga Camp 4 [OC4] every full moon and seems to be related to the apparition of the Strange Stone that also appears at that time in the Power glade. Explodes when killed, killing instantly all orga in range and causing listed damage to exiles. Getting that Strange Stone is the objective of Full Moon Orga Camp Raids [FMOCR]. Only a full mystic with the proper training can get such a Stone. They are used to teleport short distances. | ||
